He also ran his own private practice working with a variety of issues. He has extensive experience working with the gay and lesbian community and considers this to be his area of expertise.
Dan trained as a humanistic integrative counsellor which means that his primary aim is to establish a safe, supportive relationship for clients to explore their concerns and gain insight, clarity and a healthy level of self-acceptance so that they may be better able to overcome their problems and live their lives more fully. As an integrative counsellor he integrates different approaches to counselling and psychotherapy in order to create an approach based on the clients needs and personality.
