Belinda van den Berg, Psychiatrist

Belinda van den Berg (1969) was born in the Netherlands. She studied Medicine at the University of Amsterdam. She trained as a psychiatrist at de Geestgronden, a psychiatric hospital near Haarlem and specialised in the treatment of depression, bipolar disorders and addictions. Subsequently, she worked as a psychiatrist in Rivierduinen, near Leiden, treating patients with depression, anxiety and bipolar disorders.
Belinda involves herself in research projects dedicated to the recognition of bipolar disorders and has published various articles about the psychotherapy of bipolar disorders.
In the summer of 2007 she moved to Barcelona, España and worked at 'Centro de Salud Mental del Garraf ', Vilanova i la Geltru, and also began her own practice treating patients in Sitges and Barcelona.
In September 2008, she decided to concentrate all of her time in developing her own private practice and at the beginning of 2009 she founded Ánimo, Centre for Psychotherapy. Her philosophy is to provide quality treatments for psychological problems and, together with her multidisciplinary team of professionals, offers a variety of psychotherapies in six different languages, including where necessary, the prescription of medication.
